He is survived by: his wife Debra Kovalan; his children, Lisa Gardinier (Paul) of Vermilion, Jennifer Dudek of Vermilion and John Kovalan Jr. of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Courtney Kovalan, Jordan Bartlome (Kegan) and Jaden Dudek; his great grandchild Chase Bartlome; and his siblings, Patricia Kovalan (Scott Shope) of Charlotte, NC, Jane Kovalan, Nancy Iovenette of Youngstown, OH, Mary Schesler (Joe) of Canfield, OH, Joanne Antigua of Sacramento, CA and Robert Kovalan (Carla) of Youngstown, OH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
