It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Eugene Beckwith of Vermilion, Ohio, born in Dansville, New York, who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Beckwith and Vera Beckwith. He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Beckwith of Vermilion; his children, John Beckwith (Shari) of Vermilion, Barb McGowan (John) of Fredericktown, OH and Sandra Beckwith; and his grandchildren, Brian Beckwith (Rachel), Adam Beckwith (Ashley), Kelly Barkschat (Rick), Phillip Hall, Johnathan McGowan (Christi) and Josh McGowan (Andrea). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Ritter Public Library Foundation 5680 Liberty Avenue, Vermilion, OH 44089.
