With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William R. Barthel Jr. of Vermilion, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William R. left this world on June 22, 2025 at the age of 72, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Barthel, and William Barthel, Sr.; and his siblings, Tom, Janice, Carol and Mary.
He is survived by: his sons, Andrew Barthel and Matt Barthel (Courtney Johnston); his grandson Theo; and his sister Chris Martin (Ed). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his little Border Collie "Shop Buddy", Kenzie.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Church (731 Exchange St, Vermilion, OH 44089). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
