He was predeceased by: his parents, Emit Cruze and Doreen Cruze (Butler); his brothers, Gary Cruze, Ted Cruze and Bob Cruze; and his girlfriend Cathy Linder.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Cruze, Jason Sears (Nicole), Gary Cruze and Sabrina Cruze; his stepson Matt Spitler; his siblings, Chuck Cruze (Vanessa) and Donna Hall (Jeff); his grandchildren, Lane Cruze (Alexis), Lily Cruze, Peyton Cruze, Kenzie Cruze, Cylie Sears, Caitlyn Sears, Dawson Cruze, Candace Cruze, Riverlin Sears, Aurora Sears and Laken Sears; his former wife Mary Sears; and his friend Charlie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
