He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Johnson and Rosa "Pauline" Johnson (Karn); his wife Joyce Ann Johnson (Fox); his son Scott Edward Johnson; his siblings, Rosie Petty (Steve), Becky Johnson and Robert "Bob" Johnson; and his sister-in-law Pat Johnson.
He is survived by: his son Michael Johnson (Rebecca) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Howard, Kevin Nickson and Jerrica Gahret (Timothy); and his siblings, Marvin Johnson of Greenville, Marion Johnson of Greenville, Charles "Chuck" Johnson of Dayton, Rita Melling (Richard) of Fairborn and Elaine Johnson-Jones of Camden. He is also survived by his nine great grandchildren.
