He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry William and Leona Koopman (Ziegler); his wife LaDonna Koopman (Martin); his daughter Beverly Jean Hall; and his siblings, Earl, Gaylord, Rudolph, Maynard, Raymond, Robert Koopman, Katherine Beebe, Lucille Axelson, Minetta Yount, Myrtle Bruin and Joyce Paulson.

He is survived by: his sons, Brian Koopman (Paula), Gerald Rue (Ellen) and Keith Rue (Elaine); and his brother Orville Koopman. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.

If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
