She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mitchell and Arlene Mitchell (Sweitzer). She is survived by: her husband Edward E. Root Sr.; her sons, Robert Phillips (Samantha) of South Carolina and Edward Root Jr. (Leah) of Brookfield, OH; and her siblings, John Mitchell (Sophie) of Niles, OH, Dennis Mitchell of Florida, Virginia DeArment of Kentucky and Carol Smith of Berlin Center, OH. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
