He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Leeson (Brown); his daughter Clare Checkley (Steven) of Irthlingborough, England; his stepchildren, Gary Hawley of Kinsman, Ohio and Lisa Scarnechia of Vienna; his granddaughter Olivia Checkley; and his sisters, Wendy Carter (Dennis) of Higham Ferrers, England. and Sue Scott (Tim) of Higham Ferrers, England..
