She was predeceased by : her parents, Miles Carpenter and Pauline Baker Carpenter; and her brothers, Bob Baker, Bill Carpenter, Frank Carpenter, Rick Carpenter and Roy Carpenter.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Cyndal Smith (Brad) and Derrick Shadwick (Amber); her great grandchildren, Carson of Vinton, Ohio, Addison of Vinton, Ohio, Keldon of Vinton, Ohio, Cayden of Vinton, Ohio, Keira of Vinton, Ohio, Skylyn of Vinton, Ohio, Ethan of Vinton, Ohio and Stella of Vinton, Ohio; her sisters, Joyce Ward (Roscoe) of Vinton, Ohio and Mary Preston (Jonathan) of Vinton, Ohio; her sister-in-law Tina Carpenter; and her pet Dory.
