She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Hobrath; her mothers, Heinrich Maltzahn (Lydia Maltzahn) and Lydia Maltzahn; and her sister Ruth Lechner. She is survived by: her daughters, Tina (Paul Vukovic), Lisa (Nick Conley) and Suzette (Scott Marunowski); her grandchildren, Greta, Anika, Elena, Olivia, Ethan, Eva, Ezra and Ella; and her siblings, Irene (Wilfried Hildebrandt) and Arthur Maltzahn (Barbara).
