He is survived by: his wife Janis Nilsen (Parsons); his son Charles Nilsen (Tera); his brother Jim Nilsen (Cheryl); his nieces and nephews, Michael (Amy), David, Andrew Nilsen, Melissa Nilsen (Eric Bentrott), Celia and Simon Bentrott; and his pets, Thora and Chanel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home & Burial Park (3653 W Market St, Akron, OH 44333). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
