He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Fackelman); his sons, Walter (Sonya), Mark (Jamie) and Robert (Jodie); and his grandchildren, Allie Allen (Jacob), Cassidy, David, Nicolas, Avery, Alyssa, Katelyn and Mackenzie Banaszak.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freck Funeral Chapel (1155 S Wynn Rd, Oregon, OH 43616). A prayer was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at the Calvary Cemetery (2224 Dorr St, Toledo, OH 43607).
