He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Sr. Deehr and Irene Deehr (Seiple); his wife Patricia (McCrory); and his brothers, Albert Deehr, Adelbert Deehr and Bruce Deehr.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Huss (Michael), Barbara Szymanski (Michael) and Michael Deehr Sr. (Tina); his grandchildren, Matthew Huss, Lisa Sullivan, Sarah Washburn (Bradley), Beverly Huss, Jason Szymanski (Nicole), Emily Hartke (Jon), Megan Szymanski, Michael Deehr Jr. (Nicole), Amanda Baer (Nick), Laura Beauregard (Ryan) and Abigail Deehr; and his siblings, Carolyn Norton and Ronald Deehr (Janet). He is also survived by his 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home-Oregon Chapel (440 S Coy Rd, Oregon, OH 43616). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Russell's memory are asked to consider the Sight Centery of Northwest Ohio.
