Alta Ruth Schlabach Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alta Ruth Schlabach of Walnut Creek, Ohio, who passed away on June 4, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Alta Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alta Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Gardner and Alta Gardner (Miller); and her spouse Ura "Jake" Schlabach. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Miller of Millersburg, Kenneth Schlabach (Edith) of Trail, Linda Biehl (Scott) of Navarre and Robert Schlabach of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Church of Walnut Creek Walnut Creek, OH (2619 County Rd 144, Sugarcreek, OH 44687). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
