He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Koppes and Sarah Koppes (Begley); and his granddaughter Eva Marie Yoder. He is survived by: his children, Karl Koppes (Kathy) of Cuyahoga Falls, Charles Koppes (Tami) of New Philadelphia and Susan Yoder (Randy) of Winesburg; and his siblings, Dorothy Wenger (Joe) and Wayne Koppes. He is also survived by 6 grandsons; 12 great grandchildren.
