He is survived by: his children, Kevin Anthony Samons and Michelle Christine Samons; his grandchildren, Arabella and Finn; and his siblings, Charles William Samons, Christopher Allan Samons (Bonnie) and Elva Louise "Missy" Cotrell (Robert).
