He was predeceased by : his parents, John L. Epperson and Edith K. Epperson (Severns); and his wife Ruth A. South. He is survived by : his daughter Vicki Clayton (Dustin) of Wapakoneta; his brother Charles Epperson (Beverlee) of Lima, Ohio; his grandchildren, Ashley Endicott (Tommy), Andrew, Katherine Clayton of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Zachary Closson of New Haven, Indiana and Allison Erb (Clifford) of St. Marys, Ohio; and his great grandchildren, Haylie Warner of Wapakoneta, Laken Blanton of Wapakoneta, Julianna Endicott of Wapakoneta, Brinley Stein of Wapakoneta, Olivia Endicott of Hilliard, Braeylan and Braxyn Erb of St. Marys, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory (1102 Lincoln Ave, Wapakoneta, OH 45895). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
