He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Pitchford and Genevie "Jenny" Pitchford; and his brother Jeff Pitchford. He is survived by: his children, Alexandria "Ali" Pitchford-Alspaugh (Jimmy), Ryan Pitchford and Katrina Pitchford; his stepchildren, Danielle Carroll and Hunter Burden; his brother Jerry Pitchford (Michelle); his children, Allie, Stephanie Pitchford, Danielle and Hunter; his grandchildren, Maddux, Archer, Harris Alspaugh, Paisely, Shepherd Richards and Zakorey Jurosic Jr.; and his nephew Ross Pitchford.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association in Jay's honor, to support research and advocacy for those affected by lung disease.
