He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Schlenker and Evon Schlenker (Knatz); his brother Michael; and his sister-in-law Joyce Schlenker. He is survived by: his children, Jon T. Schlenker, Amy Thompson (Shawn), Robin Clay (Brian) of Van Wert, OH and Tracy Langenkamp (Ben) of Dayton, OH; his adoptive children, Libby Florian and Tyler Giles; his grandchildren, Brooke Folk (Chris), Brent Nagel (Cait), Ryan Nagel (Christine), Tianna Thompson, Austin Clay, Kirsten Clay, Paisley Florian and Iris Florian; his siblings, Peggy Prater (Jack) and Philip Schlenker (Diane); and his family Wapa Farms. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Auglaize Industries, Breakfast Optimist Club, or the Auglaize Co. Library.
