He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clyde and Lela May Applegate (Sterling); his granddaughter Ashley; and his great grandchild Emberly Jade Fleck. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane (Moehring); his children, David Applegate (Paula) of Sparta, NC, Dawn Applegate of Sidney, Darcy Heitz (Rodney) of Elgin, OH and Darin Applegate (Stacey) of Wapakoneta; his grandchildren, Dakota, McKenzie, Jordon, McKayla, Jarad and Damon; and his great grandchild Deacon.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Lloyd's honor.
