He was predeceased by: his father John D. Rock; and his grandparents, Mike "Henry" and Gloria Moran. He is survived by: his children, Erika Rock, Alex Rock and Allison Rock; his mother Mary "Patricia" (Moran); his sister Lisa Rock (Robin); his nephew Danny Rock-Hughes; and his aunts, Elaine Borowski, Carolyn Rock and Kathleen Rock.

“This is Tracy. I dated David when attending Fairmont State. I still have a warm spot in my heart for David. He was heavy on my mind for a while and just found out the news today. It’s setting heavy. David taught me to enjoy life, family and friends. He was a very intelligent and kind hearted man. My prayers go out to everyone. I still carry memories of him today.
