He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Burtner and Joan Burtner (Schultz). He is survived by: his siblings, Dan Burtner, Dawn Cook, Deneen Burtner, Deanna Ogrodny and Darla Cross. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
