He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Shelton and Mary Shelton (Shue); his former wife Sally Shelton (Garrett); and his wife Kay Shelton (Cooney). He is survived by: his sons, Donald "Joe" Shelton (Pamela) and Steve Shelton; his sister Patty Hoggset (Haines); and his grandchildren, Amy Rood, Dean Rood (Amanda), Ryan Shelton (Audrey) and Abram Shelton. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Leavittsburg Baptist Church (4150 Kincaid East Rd NW, Warren, OH 44481).
