He was predeceased by: his wife Julie Schultz; his grandson Ryan Mamula; his great grandchild Kane Schultz; and his sister Ruth. He is survived by: his children, Ed Schultz Jr. (Michelle) of Warren, Susan Mamula (Michael) of Vienna, Linda Rankin (Larry) of Kinsman, Sally Bertok (Ben) of Geneva, Julie Taylor (Albert) of Green Bay and Jim Schultz (Jill) of Cortland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
