Elizabeth A. Seck Obituary

Elizabeth A. Seck, 63, of Boardman, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, in Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. Elizabeth was born on October 24, 1958, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Piper Gruber. She attended Chaney High School in Youngstown.

Elizabeth loved baking and cooking. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother, always keeping a beautiful home in which to raise her family. She liked going to craft shows and loved to make her home beautiful and comforting with her decorating sense. She loved to plant flowers in the spring and loved African violets and lilacs. She enjoyed needlepoint embroidery for years and shopping with her daughter.

Elizabeth was an elegant, well dressed, compassionate and beautiful woman who always put her family before herself. She always made sure her children and grandchildren had wonderful holidays and made her whole family Christmas cookie trays each and every year. Elizabeth was a beautiful, loving mother who always made her house a home. No one could have asked for a better Mother.

Besides her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa J. Seck who passed on April 25, 2021; her sister, Deborah Gruber who passed on July 31, 2016; her brother, Robert Gruber in September 2007; and her nephew, Norman Sugden who passed on March 10, 2017.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Jennifer Seck of Boardman; her son, William (Deanna) Seck of Boardman; and her granddaughter, Emma Seck, whom she was raising. Emma was like a daughter to her whom she'd loved more than life. She also leaves two grandsons, Zachary (Paula) Eichelberger of Struthers, Ohio and Christopher Eichelberger of Boardman, Ohio; her sister, Linda Sugden of Youngstown, also known as her best friend for life; and her great niece, Talia Sugden of Arizona, who lovingly nicknamed her "Aunt Bee".
