He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Calugar and Ana Calugar; his former wife Mary Ann Moldovan; his wife MaryAnn; and his siblings, Sylvia Allen, Ann Cook, Nick, John and Chuck Calugar.

He is survived by: his children, Karen Myers and George Calugar (Franca); his grandchildren, Neal Myers (Hao Ping), Andrea Rumschlag (Brian), DeeDee Majka (John), Nicholas Calugar (Leah), Justin Calugar (Christina) and Sarah Calugar (Corey); and his great grandchildren, Hannah, Cassie Myers and Aiden Calugar. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
