He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Davern and Ann Davern (Harmon); his son Gregory K. Davern; and his sister Beth Ortz. He is survived by: his sisters, Karen Brown (Randy) and Mary Kay Khoury (Jim); his brother-in-law Rick Ortz; his stepdaughter Mary Jo Caroline-Moore (Rasheen); his former wife Jackie Franke; his grandson Chase Caroline; and his nieces and nephews, Lindsay Thomas, Sean Ortz, Nicholas and Kevin Vivo.
