He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie G. Floyd and George C. Floyd. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Bahr Floyd; his daughter Lydia M. Floyd; his son-in-law Michael C. Harford; his grandson Ian Floyd Harford; his siblings, David G. Floyd and Linda F. Anderson; and his cousin Emile Gebel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family requests that any donations in remembrance of Jim be made to the Stambaugh Chorus or SMARTS (Students Motived by the Arts).
