He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Marie and Gerald Kirkwood; and his brothers, Ronald Kirkwood (Diane) and Harlin Lewis (Joan). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis A. Russell; his sons, Richard (Susan) of Summerville, SC, Michael (Diana) of Champion and Kevin (Karen) of Toledo; his grandchildren, Brian Kirkwood, Kelly Ramey (Will), Michael Kirkwood (Becky), Jenny Doan (Brad), Valerie and Shannon Kirkwood; his siblings, William Kirkwood (Leah) of Southington and Geraldine Kirkwood of Howland; and his sister-in-law Diane Kirkwood (Ron) of Champion.
