He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Nice and Betty Nice; and his siblings, George Todd, Ed Todd, Robert Nice, Sue Farr, Betty A. Nice and Mary Nice.

He is survived by: his wife Karena Nice; his children, Kelly Dennison, Jesus Nice, Joseph Nice Jr., Austin Nice, Candy Stalvey, Nancy Stout, Tiffany Grossbeck, Timothy Grossbeck, Frederick Barr II and Brandon Barr; his siblings, Jack Nice, Michael Stout, Judd Todd, James Todd, Scott Nice, Wanda Cole, Mary Williams Amos (Charles) and Lori Stout; and his close friend Rick Ozanich. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
