He was predeceased by: his father Larry Kersten; his daughter Summer Kersten; and his brother Frankie Luzar. He is survived by: his mother Joan Kersten; his fiancée Michelle Kelly; his children, Joshua Kersten of Warren and Autumn Kersten of Pittsburgh; and his siblings, Dan Janiw "Pam" of Warren, Eric Luzar "Renee", Scott Kersten, Susan Rice, Jean Parsons and Cheri Grant.
