She was predeceased by: her parents, William Johnston and Marian Johnston; her husband Joseph Alexander Markley Sr.; and her siblings, William, James Johnston, Kathleen Comansecu and Shelly Jones.

She is survived by: her children, Pamela Markley (Bob Taff), Renee Burk (Frank), Kimberly Hutzler (Donald), Joseph Alexander Markley Jr. (Rochelle), James William Markley and Jason Lee Markley (Danielle); her grandchildren, Michael Stith Jr. (Cindy), Shane Perkins, Jonathan Perkins (Liz), Ronald McKinstry (Bethany) and Shauna McKinstry (Jacob); and her brother Richard Johnston (Mimi). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
