He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Albert Postlethwait and Francis Postlethwait (Meredith); his former wife Joanne Mae Postlethwait (Kohler); and his siblings, Thomas Postlethwait, Cassandra Postlethwait (Cass) and Cheri Chumbley (Dallas).

He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Postlethwait (Stein); his children, Melissa Ann Marshall (Glenn), Penny Lynn Lutton (John), Larry Michael Postlethwait Jr. (Yevonne), Ronald William Hardman Jr. and Jason Robert Hardman (Jhovanna); his grandchildren, Erika Leigh Johnstone (Jake), Amanda Mae Gallaugher (Dylan), Tiffany Joanne Faustino (Jaryd), Hanna Rose Hardman, Olivia Grace Hardman, Joseph Marsh, JoAnne Mae Postlethwait, Melanie Eva Tarin and Emily Zoe Tarin; his great grandchildren, Bailey Mae Gallaugher and Camdyn James Michael Gallaugher; and his siblings, Robert Postlethwait (Shorty), Patricia Kuhmer and Debi Holmes (Randy). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to his favorite charity, St Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) in his honor.
