He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Shaver and Willie Bell Herbert Shaver; his daughters, Theresa Shaver and Yvette Sellers; his siblings, Ruby Murray, Alvin Shaver, Theopolis Shaver and Earnie Dee "Acorn" Shaver; and his grandson Kai Y. Yancey.
He is survived by: his children, Luther Demon Shaver of Charlotte, SC, Shawn Yancey of Cleveland, Yolanda Peterson (Shawn J.) of Pittsburgh, PA, Shawna Dukes Sr. (Anthony) of Howland and Dedra Green (Floyd) of Newman, GA; and his siblings, Leroy Shaver of Warren, John Shaver of Girard, Grace Dean of Warren, Gloria Shaver of Warren and Delores Shaver of Warren. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
