He was predeceased by: his father Morrison "Red" Simms; his stepfather William "Pop" Knight; his daughter Mallorie Simms; his stepson Ryan Roddy (Baby); his sister Sheila Simms; and his nephews, Christian and Brandon Simms.
He is survived by: his mother Bronwyn "Bonny" Weaver Simms; his wife April L. Roddy Simms; his children, Eyan Simms and Carly Simms; his siblings, Rusty Simms (Windy), Tom Simms (Betty), Joel Knight, Michael Simms (Nicole), Cindee Mines (Mark) and Kathleen Turner (Michael); his grandchildren, Gianna Simms, Makenna Reeves, Bryson Reeves, Francesca Simms (Frankie), Maleek Simms and Parker Burwell; his pet Homer; his mother-in-law Minnie Dunmire; and his pet Missy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
