She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Varvarezou and Marigo Varvarezou (Protopopas); her husband Demetrios Papantoniou; and her brother George Varvarezou. She is survived by: her children, Paul Papantoniou (Louisa) of Bronx, NY and Kaliope "Penny" Nerris (Theodore) of Howland Twp, OH; her grandchildren, Paul Jr. and Gianna Papantoniou; and her children, Demetrios Nerris (Morgan), Anthony, Mike and Matina Nerris.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Matina's name to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High St NE, Warren, OH 44481.
