He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zampedro and Theresa "Liz" Biscaro Zampedro; his son Jeffrey Nelson; and his brothers, John S. Zampedro and Leo Zampedro.
He is survived by: his wife Mari Lou Pinch; his children, Leanne Zampedro, Jon Zampedro (Beth) and Richard Nelson; his sister Jane Zampedro; and his daughter-in-law RoseLyn Nelson. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
