He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul D. Groat and Florence Groat (Hartman); his wife Vilma Groat (Lubi); and his brother Wilbur Groat (Mary Ellen). He is survived by: his sons, Thomas L. Groat of Warren, Jeffery S. Groat (Teresa) of Chicago, IL and Douglas R. Groat of Warren; his grandsons, Max and Ted; and his caregiver Echo Seidler of Girard.
