He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Raymond and Grace Anna Tanner (Ritch); his brothers, John and Brian; and his pets, Curby and Scooter.

He is survived by: his siblings, Paul Tanner of Cortland and Betsy Tanner of Howland; and his pets, Smudge and Batch.
