He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry T. Gautschi and Louise Gautschi (Haidet); his wife Theresa Smart; and his siblings, John, Oscar, Henry Gautschi, Mary Anthony and Rosa Coe.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Songer of Champion, Gail Gautschi (Bud) of Champion and Norma Barrickman (Ken) of Champion. He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
