He was predeceased by: his parents, George Porter and Mary Porter (Boggs); his wife Lynda Porter (Higgins); and his siblings, Lester Porter, Wade Porter, Ester Porter-Barker, Hazel Conn, Clara Reynolds, June Conn, Nellie Gilliam, Jewell Tomlin and Joyce Anne Porter.
He is survived by: his daughter Peggy Carmichael (Thomas) of Warren, OH; his stepchildren, Charles Porter (Rhonda) of Hueytown, AL and Tammy Hobbs; his siblings, Gary Porter of Niles, OH and Vada Sue Bledsoe of Niles, OH; his grandsons, Keith, David and Sean; and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Zoey and Evelyn.
