He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas and Lillian Louise Chaney (Brown); his wife Barbara Jane Chaney (Lanham); and his siblings, Ed, Bob, Harold, Richard, Tom, James, Franklin Chaney, Mary and Helen Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Chaney (Gayla Miller) of Mount Vernon and Canda Tarman (Jay) of Coshocton; his grandchildren, Dustin Langley, Brody Langley, Brittany Williamson, Danielle Chaney and Brandon Chaney; his great grandchildren, Zaynn Langley, Kohen Williamson, Harper Langley, Ariya Marie Jane Langley and Karter Frederick Williamson; and his brother Arthur Dwayne Chaney (Vicky) of Coshocton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
