It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara A. Darnell of Waterville, Ohio, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dixon and Irene Dixon (McLeod); her husband Michael Darnell; her stepmother Nora Dixon (Michael); her daughter Jenell Swinehart; her sister Bevery Williams; and her brothers-in-law, Richard Nagel and Mark Craver.
She is survived by: her children, Roderick Swinehart (Lisa) of Jerry City and Julie Drake of Jackson; her siblings, John Dixon (Megan) of Toledo, Kathryn Linke (James) of Maumee, Sandra Preste (James) of Lakeville, Bonnie Nagel of Toledo and Yvonne Craver of Washington, D. C.; and her brother-in-law Gary Williams of Las Vegas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home- Waterville Chapel (7220 Dutch Rd, Waterville, OH 43566). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home (7220 Dutch Rd, Waterville, OH 43566).
