She was predeceased by : her parents, George German and Loretta German; her husband Eugene "Gene" Bergfeld; her son Thomas; her granddaughter Leslie Bergfeld; and her siblings, Ruth Ebbeskotte, Helen Wehri, Elmer German and Richard German.

She is survived by : her children, Judy Miller (Bruce), Terry, Jim (Missy), Dan (Cindy) and Gary (Vicky); and her sister Mildred Schroeder. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests giving memorial contributions to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
