He was predeceased by : his parents, Stonewall Jackson Peters and Opal Virginia Webb; his wife Virginia Rose Stokes Peters; his sister Lois Faye Peters Touton; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Stokes Pierson, J. B. Pierson, Charlotte Stokes Cathey, Charles Cathey, Wilma Nell Newton, Raymond Newton and Sandra Stokes Lark (Billy) of Kingsport, TN..
He is survived by : his daughter Sabrina Peters-Whitehead; his son-in-law Garrett Whitehead; his grandson Culver Whitehead of Waterville, OH.; his brother Fred Jack Peters of Weber City, VA; and his nieces and nephews, Chris Peters of Weber City, VA, Kevin Peters (Lori), Fredrick "Rick" Touton III of Scottsdale, AZ., Cynthia Haynes, Pamela Osborne, Lenore Pezold, Melanie Jones and Keissa Lark.
