It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Smith of Wauseon, Ohio, who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Gary may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Smith and Glenda Smith; and his brother Grover "Frank" Smith of South Carolina. He is survived by: his wife Karen Wyse Smith; his niece Kimberly Smith Albertson (Michael) of South Carolina; his great-nephew Samuel Albertson of South Carolina; and his sister-in-law Judy Smith.
