He was predeceased by: his parents, Esteban Diaz and Maria Garza Diaz; and his siblings, Bertha Vera, Eva Perez, Senaida Molina, Domitila Ramos, Josefina Vallejo, Lydia Diaz, Pedro Diaz Neto Diaz and Guadalupe Diaz.

He is survived by: his sisters, Paula Diaz and Rosa Diaz Ramirez; and his children, Lydia Diaz of West Unity, Michael Diaz, Elizabeth Covarrubias (Andrew) and Marie Torres (Jose) of Archbold, Ohio.. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
