He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mathuews and Cora Mathuews (Rittenhouse); and his siblings, Walter Mathews (Lucille), Clarence Mathews (Hattie), Goldie Rausch (Fred), Francis Jones (Harold), Georgia Silcott (Clyde), Emma Ford (Martin), William Mathews (Betsie), Mary Goble (Oscar), Bonnie Dehahn (Benard), Alberta Johnson (Keith), Willard Mathuews (Connie), Violet Lawson (Forest), Fronnie Mathuews and Robert Mathuews.
He is survived by: his wife Lola Pearl Mathuews (Chenault); his children, Martin Edward Mathuews and Tamella McFarland (Michael); and his granddaughter Veronica McFarland.
