We announce the death of Donald Max Lyon of Waverly, Ohio, who passed away on June 7, 2026, at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard C. Deering and Virginia Mae Deering (Barch). He is survived by: his children, Dawn Lyon Singleton (Bryan), Richard Lyon (Tracy), Carolyn "Shelley" Lyon (Tuffy Oyer) and Ethan Lyon; his grandchildren, Wesley Singleton, Richard Yoakem, Brooke Singleton, Gracelyn Lyon, Andrew Lyon, Derek Lyon, Quentin Lyon and Braxton Lyon; his siblings, Marilyn Hatfield (Ed), Dixie Wright (Steve) and Michael Lyon; and his close friends, Cathy Clark and Suzie Maxwell. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
