He was predeceased by : his parents, Judson Harmon Anderson and Gladys Avanelle Glassburn Anderson; his daughter Nichole Marie Anderson; his brothers, William Anderson (Virginia), Wilbur "Dutch" Anderson (Beatrice), Walter "Frank" Anderson (Mary) and Woodrow Anderson; and his brothers-in-law, Lyle Clark and Bob Long.

He is survived by : his wife Joan Marie Long Anderson; his daughters, Amanda Renee Anderson of Waverly and Michele Denise Anderson of Brunswick, Maryland; his grandsons, Ethan J. A. Lummer of Marion, Elijah D. A. Lummer of Waverly, Evan W. A. Lummer of Waverly and Jace H Massie of Waverly; his sister Avanelle Kathryn Pennington (Joe) of Waverly; his siblings-in-law, Yvonne Anderson of Waverly, Cathy Clark of Waverly, Barb Long of Waverly and Tom Long (Rhonda) of Waverly; and his son Mead Woodlands.
